Proud to Serve, a segment on Fox 2 News in St. Louis, highlights local military veterans and first responders who have given both to our community and to our country. January’s Proud to Serve award recipient is Daniel Howard, an Army Veteran who served in a Blackhawk Brigade while on active duty. A longtime community activist, Mr. Howard has been active in several Green initiatives, including the Gateway Electric Vehicle nonprofit. For the past 20 years, Mr. Howard has busy himself providing free transportation to veterans and the homeless in our community, earning him the nickname “Dan-Dan the Driving Man.”
